Placer County Houses the Leader in Green Energy

Energy 2001 is Placer County’s largest gas-to-energy producer and a leader in green energy.  In 2003, Gary Garratt and Laura purchased ENERGY 2001 because they recognized the ambition in the company and the future benefits and profits it could wield.  They were motivated to use their business expertise to ensure that ENERGY 2001 would become a thriving business.  They invested more than $10 million into building a 5 MegaWatt Landfill Gas-to-Electricity Power Plant at Western Regional Sanitary Landfill.
